In your home country, chances are you will have been used to working Monday to Friday. However, the working week in the UAE for both private and public sectors runs from Sunday to Thursday. Under the Labour Law only Friday is an official day off, which means many private companies do actually work 6 (or 5 and a half) days a week, only taking Friday off.
